Q: What’s the best investment you’ve ever made in yourself?
A: Attending a 1heart Journey.

Christian was born in Milwaukee, WI to an epic family of five and currently lives by himself in Nosara, Costa Rica.

In 2018, he graduated with degrees in Accounting, Finance, & Event Planning* (aka throwing the best house parties on campus) while playing high-level collegiate soccer. While he’s traded alcohol for Ayahuasca, Christian hasn’t given up celebrating life with people he loves, singing his heart out, dancing until he’s in a full-blown sweat, and occasionally staying up until the sun rises.

Once he graduated with three* degrees, he began working in the corporate finance world for nearly four years. After getting fired a couple of times & asking life’s big questions, Christian got an opportunity to build a marketing department with Gwella & Mojo, two Canadian-based psychedelic startups. So, he quit the corporate world & went all in into startup life.

While doing this incredible work in the emerging industry of psychedelics was a dream come true, he was accompanied by daily feelings of loneliness, unshakeable exhaustion, and a nagging sense of not being/doing enough.

Then, 1heart came into his life and well, life hasn’t been the same since in THE BEST ways imaginable.

Before sitting in his first ceremony, he met with the medicine woman, and now a dear friend, who gave him one piece of advice that changed his life, “Smile more.” It was in that moment a million pounds slid right off his back & he realized in the pursuit of his passions, he’d lost his joy.

In the two plus years between then and now, Christian has grown from a boy to a man. He’s a devoted, kind, humble, and curious visionary. He’s worked his way from a guest to a volunteer to a director with 1heart & they even let him sing a couple of songs in these life-changing ceremonies.

While Christian supports many channels within 1heart, he’s most passionate about this community. He says there is no community like 1heart’s in the entire world. He sees these +1,000 person (and growing) family as people at the intersections of being impact-driven, seekers, kind, powerful, generous, wealthy, and vulnerable. And he’s buzzing to support the expansion & evolution of this organization and community.

Outside of 1heart, Christian lives a FULL life. Because being a responsible & curious person is a full-time job. He owns Hyve, a business consulting firm that works with heart-centered brands & retreat organizations on their marketing channels, business development strategies, community nurturing efforts, & more. When he isn’t working, he’s studying music, indigenous culture, business best practices or movement. And when he isn’t working or studying, he’s playing & relaxing somewhere in Nature with himself or this chosen family he calls home.

1heart transforms, expands, and improves the lives of leaders who, in turn, reshape, rebuild, and reimagine the organizations, communities, and social structures as collective vehicles for heart-led creation and collaboration.
